Oralnet at VON Berlin conference
Supporting Dean Elwood of Voipuser.org (a non-profit community organisation committed to providing freely available voip services for all those that wish to dip their toe in the water. Voipuser.org are comitted to airing new technologies, and you can see Dean at it here.
Some said that this VON lacked the 'buzz' of pervious expo's, and it was true that it was a smaller scale conference than most of the other VoIP conferences of 2006, but there were still some really good projects and products out there. OpenSER had their first Summit at Von, and it was great to see such a great turn-out showing their support for the openser team. The room they had was practically overflowing!

Oralnet at IP 06 conference - London Earls Court 16-18th Oct
With Convergence a core theme within Oralnet's services, and with it being a hot topic for business currently trying to get the most out of their IP networks, Oralnet attended the IP 06 conference this week in London. A very product-led theme permeated the proceedings, with Oralnet being one of the few consultancy firms in attendance, the conference had some good speakers discussing a variety of issues, including BT's 21st Century network, Fixed Mobile Convergence, SIP mobility and presence. If you were in attendance, drop us a line and let us know what you thought! To give you an idea of who was there, and the scale of the conference, take a look at this picture.

New VoIP section - New products and solutions!
We have overhauled the content in our VoIP section to reflect the new products we have in our portfolio, and to better demonstrate our capabilities. We have been working long and hard in this arena and have two new flagship product suites to demonstrate; our OSV SIP platform, for companies looking to implement their own resilient and scalable SIP solution, and also our hosted and on-site iPBX solutions, which adds Voice over IP capabilities to your telecommunications infrastructure with a minimum investment of both time and money.

Oralnet's Free VoIP platform
Oralnet's development SIP servers, to which we offer free access to the public, including a free real-world telephone number, have been recently tested by some of our staff. As part of the tests conducted, we also managed to put together a little documentation to help new users getting connected.

Looking to add VoIP products to your portfolio?
Many of Oralnet's customers are service providers, with an existing product set often in the Voice or Data marketplace, and are looking to add VoIP to their portfolio. Generally, their choices are limited to the following:
- A white-labelled hosted solution. This offers a quick turnaround time in establishing a service, but can limit the potential product-set in the long-term, as control over the system is limited.
- A custom-developed solution. These platforms take longer to develop, but are tailored 100% to the customers requirements, offering cost savings in the long term, and is just 'the best tool for the job'.
We've put together a document detailing where Oralnet can provide a solution in both arena's. Either a hosted sollution (which offers long-term flexibility that others may not), and an independantly developed platform, providing scalability, resilience, and complete customer ownership.
The document can be found here (283k)
