Oralnet provide two types of hosted PBX, operating within our own core network, based on
a combination of Open Source software and
in-house developed code.
Oralnet’s iPBX products offer a reliable and scalable way of meeting your VoIP needs. The diagram below illustrates its hosted position within Oralnet’s Network Operation Centre.

As seen in the diagram, this offers the following advantages to Service Providers (SP’s) looking to add VoIP to their portfolio or to companies looking for a dedicated centrally hosted and managed PBX system:
- Access to a suite of PSTN gateways through Oralnet’s LCR implementation
- Failover access direct to the PSTN from Oralnet’s Hosting facility
- Highly resilient network backbone
- QoS implementation to ensure call delivery
- Seamless integration with white-labelled billing and logging facilities
- Centrally managed authentication
- Centrally managed load distribution offering scalability
- Modular implementation of PBX functions
- Resilient internet connectivity
This allows you to offer your users a solution that competes technically with all the other major providers, without having to make the investment yourselves.
The Dedicated PBX - Features

- CDR logging
- Dedicated bandwidth
- RTP proxying
- Far-end NAT traversal

- Web front end for monitoring/management

Oralnet recommend the Digital PBX for:
- SP’s that wish to add a VoIP Solution to their portfolio, but don’t want to simply re-sell someone else’s product. They want to manage their customers themselves, adding value and acquiring hands-on management of only those services they want to get involved with, and leaving the core (and often expensive) functionality to their provider.
- Customers that have in-house IT staff and are looking to implement VoIP to their company. Although a PBX is ideally located for customers on their premises, often a company with many locations will opt for a centrally hosted platform like the Dedicated PBX.
- Those re-sellers that wish to make a step up from Oralnet’s Virtual PBX system, or straight re-sale solutions. The Dedicated PBX can be entirely managed by Oralnet’s team of engineers. Our consultants will even assist you in specifying your dial plan and call-switching logic in order for you to get set up in the most efficient manner. Oralnet will even help you transfer all your clients over from a different solution, all via a white-labelled package.
The Virtual iPBX - Features
The Virtual PBX is very similar to our dedicated server option, but it exists virtually as part of our clustered PBX suite. Each customer on this suite has their own PBX, which handles everything the dedicated solution does, but it shares physical resources with the rest of the cluster.
This method of implementation has enabled some of our Channel Partners and SME customers to build a low-cost VoIP offering, whilst maximising on efficiency. Whilst not as scalable as the Dedicated PBX, it does offer your customers or company a solution with the utmost Return on your Investment.
Oralnet recommend the Virtual PBX for:
- SME’s who are looking to implement VoIP, or larger companies that are looking to trial a VoIP solution to see what it can do for them. This platform is ideal as it is simple to set up, and Oralnet’s consultants will even tailor the Dial plan to your specific requirements should you wish.
- SP’s who are looking at adding VoIP to their product portfolio for the first time. This offers a great opportunity to put an offering together with the minimum of up-front cost. Oralnet can even send you two bills; one for you at your wholesale rate, and one broken down by each of your users, with their bill calculated and a retail rate you decide on in advance! All you need do is raise your invoice for that amount and calculate your profit.
